Monitran to showcase its MTN/5000 condition monitoring system at SENSOR+TEST 2015
High Wycombe, United Kingdom – Monitran, an industry leader in the development and manufacture of sensors and condition monitoring systems is to make its debut appearance at SENSOR+TEST 2015; running between 19th and 21st May, in Nürnberg, Germany.
The company will be exhibiting on Stand 142 in Hall 12 and showcasing its MTN/5000, a cost-effective and versatile microcontroller-based condition monitoring system; now available with up to 96 channels. The MTN/5000 features a TFT touchscreen display (at 3.5 or 5 inch) and an easy-to-navigate menu through which users can set data sampling rates and alarm levels.
Andy Anthony, Monitran’s Managing Director, comments: “The decision to exhibit at SENSOR+TEST 2015, and to showcase the MTN/5000 in particular, was made in response to several customers in mainland Europe – who have traditionally purchased sensors from us - expressing great interest in seeing our condition monitoring system in action.”
Since its launch in 2014, the MTN/5000 has proven extremely popular as it provides maintenance and service engineers with a picture of the health of plant and equipment. It can raise alarms and indicate when further investigation may be warranted. Also, as an optional extra, the system can be fitted with Modbus TCP/IP, for networking purposes or to enable multiple MTN/5000s to operate together within a larger monitoring or control system.
Anthony adds: “It’s an extremely versatile system that does not require large capital expenditure. Also, you don’t need to be a condition monitoring expert to install and configure the MTN/5000 in order to start protecting plant and equipment. However, one or more units can be networked to provide vibration levels and other conditions into a site’s predictive maintenance strategy.”
Monitran will also be using SENSOR+TEST 2015 to showcase the MTN/VM220. It is a compact and rechargeable handheld vibration meter. It conforms to ISO10816-3 and can store up to 100 time-stamped readings including RMS, peak, peak-to-peak, crest factor and bearing condition.
The company will also have on display a wide selection of its standard sensors and transducers including accelerometers, velocity sensors, LVDTs and eddy current probes. In addition, as an OEM, Monitran is able to design and manufacture bespoke sensors.
